Shower Forecast Edit | May ’17 Products

It’s time for the May edition of shower and bath product suggestions, heck, where do the months actually go?! So in this months edition, there is a known brand body wash and a couple of super gentle products from a not so well known brand. If you have a baby in the family, or super sensitive skin, the latter might just interest you.

Molton Brown Body Wash ~ Japanese Orange

This is both a fresh and oriental body wash/shower gel, not just an orange as you would expect. It has fragrant notes of Bergamot, Caraway and Patchouli, providing spicy notes that warm the uplifting citrus. This lovely scented wash enables you to wake up in the morning, or refresh the senses if you need revitalising.

I find once Molton Brown products hit water, the scent starts to flood the bathroom, followed by the rest of your home, and anyone in it will comment on the gorgeous fragrances that drift around after use. These washes not only cleanse, but soften skin and provide fragrances that transport the mind to somewhere more exotic than the bathroom. The 300ml is seriously long lasting, and retails at £20 (but there are smaller sizes available).

Ingredients : Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Laureth-4, Fragrance (Parfum), Citrus Junos Peel Extract, Peg-18 Glyceryl Oleate/Cocoate, Ppg-26-Buteth-26, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Sodium Phytate, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Yellow 10 (Ci 47005), Red 33 (Ci 17200)

This rather exotic wash is ideal for the change of seasons, great for spring going into summer, then later from summer into autumn. In a couple of weeks mine is going back in the cabinet, and a new fresh Molton Brown will be unleashed for summer days. Although, being a tad addicted to this yummy fragrance, it may well come out to play in between!

Sophie La Girafe Baby ~ Hair & Body Wash + Bubblebath

This natural, Ecocert-certified organic skincare brand, is suitable for babies, children, and anyone who has sensitive skin.

All products are 100% vegan friendly, cruelty free and contain a minimum of 99.4% natural ingredients. They do not contain : GMO, nano-particles, synthetic perfumes or dyes, phthalates, parabens, chlorine, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), MIT, triclosan, propylene glycol, benzobarbital, phenoxyethenol.

The Hair & Body Wash is a mild and very and gentle formula, producing a subtle foam that is gentle and nourishing on the skin. Containing White Tea, Lavender Water, Oat Milk and Cotton, which gently cleanses the skin and hair, leaving it soft and free from irritation. Ideal for the super sensitive among us, including babies from birth, as it is super gentle, cleansing and nourishing. It hardly has any fragrance, although maybe just a subtle hint of creamy coconut. it is kind on coloured hair and I also use this to shave my legs, as skin is left with no nicks and really soft.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Coco-sulfate, Organic Lavander Floral water*, Cocamidopropyl Betaine Cocoglucoside, Coco Glucoside and Glyceryl Oleate, Sodium Cocamphoacetate, Sodium Chloride, Organic Oat Kernel Milk*, Organic White Tea Leaf Extract*, Glycerin (and) Cotton Extract, Natural Aroma**, Benzyl alcohol, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Xanthan Gum.

The Bubble Bath produces a gentle foam, and with White Tea and Lavender Water, is again super genlte on delicate skins. Safe to use for babies, this is also a good one for those who react to some foaming agents in other bubble bath products. Very much like the hair and body wash with its natural ingredients, this seems to make the water really soft (I live in a really hard water area), and skin is not irritated but left soft.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Organic Lavandula Angustifolia (true Lavander) Floral Water*, Cocoglucoside, Sodium Cocamphoacetate, Glyceryl Oleate, Organic Camellia Sinesis (White Tea) Leaf Extract*, Aroma**, Benzyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate

Also featured in the below image, is the gentle Face Cream. As my Dad has sensitive skin after years of welding for a living, I have passed this on to him and it suits his skin by calming and nourishing. This is also ideal for babies, as the ingredients protect delicate skin from external agressors. Containing White Tea, Lavender Water, Jojoba Oil plus Shea Butter, the surface layer of the skin is soothed and protected

Extremely gentle with hardly any scent, and think this brand is becoming hugely popular with new mums.
