Time for another monthly shower edit with more bathroom delights. The July showers edit features not only cleansing products, but also a yummy body scrub for getting skin beach, or, faux tan ready. Having the usual aromatherapy orientated feel, these products are helpful in the heat, whilst their gorgeous scents provide sensory summer showers and pampering.
I was offered by the lovely Hana, the UK stockist of this popular Czech Republic brand, to try some of their products. Ryor have their own laboratories in the Czech Republic, and pride themselves on producing quality active skincare using herbal and botanical ingredients, with no animal testing. Recently for me, these Lemongrass body care products have been helpful in the heat, as well as being a real pleasure to use.
Ryor Lemongrass Shower Gel – £10 for 200ml
This shower gel is a real wake-me-up product, thanks to the gorgeous sweet citrus aroma of Lemongrass. A great aromatherapy oil to help treat depression, this uplifts any low mood. It produces a gentle foamy lather to cleanse, is non-drying and leaves skin soft.
Ingredients : Water, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocoyl aminoacids, fructose, silicone, quartermium-22, polyglyceryl-3 caprate, diproplene glycol, sodium chloride, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbet, PEG-18glyceryl, oleate, Cymbopogen Flexuous (Lemongrass) oil, lactic acid, geraniol.
I love using this not only to help invigorate, but it is totally refreshing on hot, sticky summer days (especially having my own tropical moments!), as Lemongrass is deodorising, so can be helpful for excess sweating.
Ryor Lemongrass Body Scrub – £14 for 325 gm
This gorgeous body exfoliant made of sugars and oils, helps to exfoliate and refresh the body whilst uplifting the spirit and softening the skin. Ideal to use a couple of times a week in the shower to exfoliate dry skin and, to help upkeep a tan. The sugars make for a gentle yet effective exfoliant, while the oils condition the skin, leaving it silky soft and nourished. An aromatherapy experience in a tub, this beautifully fragranced, natural summer body exfoliant is a treat to use.
It is packed with sugar and oils, so I give it a gentle stir with a spatula before use, as oils tend to settle at the bottom when the product is stood. Also another chance for a quick aromatherapy treatment! I was a fan of this oil when I was a therapist, as not only does it help low mood, but it really refreshes body, mind and the air around you.
Ingredients : Sucrose, Helanthius Annus ( Sunflower) seed oil, Cymbopogon Flexuous (Lemongrass) oil, BHT, citral, limonene.
If I have had rubbish sleep and feel lacking in energy, I head for these products in the bathroom to help. Being so vibrant, they help me feel fresher and brighter, more ready to take on the day. Although if it has been a really hot day, and batteries are running low, these are great for late afternoon use to deodorise and refresh. Although these Ryor products are ideal for use in summer heat, they will also be helpful in winter to lift those blue feelings. If you are a fan of citrus scents, you will love these Lemongrass products!

Molton Brown Templetree Bodywash – £20 for 300ml bottle
A different Molton Brown flavour this month, one that reminds me of my honeymoon, and is a fave in our house. This is one of the brands Oriental blends, with notes of Jasmine, Sandalwood and fruity Rose, it is happy, sensual, plus a little tropical in its fragrance, and definitely uplifting. Contains purifying Templetree flower extract, along with Algae extract to moisturise.
It is bright blue in colour and looks great in a white bathroom, and simply screams oceans, pool, and holidays to me. Being unisex, this exotic little number is a fave of both myself and hubby, and leaves a bright, sensual aroma on the skin after using. As fragrance stimulates memory, Templetree is evocative of of our honeymoon, and a happy, blissful time spent in Crete as newly weds.
Ideal for bath or shower, this is refreshing in summer and I always make sure there is a bottle in our bathroom stash. It was formerly known as Blissful Templetree, and to be honest, I really don’t know why they changed it, as it really is as that title suggests.
I am currently using a Molton Brown Christmas bauble that was a present. These lovely baubles come boxed and are usually available at Christmas time, fab gifts to give OR receive, plus they last for a good while too.
I am loving all of these products lately, being helpful during the heat to refresh and care for skin, plus these scents are uplifting and enjoyable. So… until next month, where I will share a post-shower product with a brands’ lovely new fragrance.
