The Shower Forecast – August ’17

Happy August Bank Holiday! and yes, sadly it is time to wave ‘Ta ra’ to August and summer (what we had of it), and I hope you have had a good one. I guess we can always create good feelings in the bathroom, with an array of different products to provide some ‘me time‘. This month, I am sharing some gorgeous aromas to revive, plus products to nourish the skin, so probably well suited for the change over to a new season.

Natura Siberica Revitalising Bath Salts  – £3.60 for 600gm

Founded in 2007, this is Siberica’s 1st certified organic brand and available in the UK. Providing pure formula products guaranteed by European certificates of ECO BIO cosmetics, ECOCERT and ICEA, using ingredients of wild harvest herbs.

This huge tub of bath salts contain natural, wild harvested ingredients including Siberian Ginseng, Saphora Japonica and Rosehip oil, and has a really pleasant flowery citrus aroma. I find using these certainly help revitalise the senses when you just feel a bit rubbish, and skin is left toned and soft.

IngredientsSodium Chloride, Maris Salt, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract*, Panax Ginseng Root Extract*, Melissa Officinalis Flower/Leaf/Stem Water*, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil*, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil*, Rhodiola Rosea Root ExtractWH, Larix Sibirica Needle ExtractWH, Abies Sibirica Needle ExtractWH, Sophora Japonica Flower Extract, Hippophae Rhaimnoidesamidopropyl BetaineHR, Pineamydopropyl BetainePS, Tocopherol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Retinyl Palmitate, Parfum, Silica, CI 77492, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional – (*) Issued from organic agriculture; (WH) Wild harvested Siberian plants organic extracts; (PS) Pinus Sibirica Seed Oil Derivative; (HR) Wild harvested Altaian seabuckthorn oil derivative.

Usage : Add whilst filling a bath, using 4 spoons of bath salts, then enjoy a soak for 10-20 minutes.

I do find you need to work at getting the crystals to dissolve a little at first, but once they have, I find this allows a really enjoyable soak. This product is a Green Beauty Award winner in Italy, and a great pick me up with fabulous price for a natural product. Mine are going down too quickly, as I love the aroma and the boost I get from using them! Definitely worth having in the bathroom cupboard for pick-me-up baths, especially with darker cooler months approaching.

This was a recent purchase of mine of which, I have fallen in love with the aroma, and it is one of the few shower gels I can use when I have a migraine. I not only find it reviving, but also relaxing. It has one of those aromatherapeutic blends that provides an equilibrium effect ; reviving, restorative and calming.

It provides a silky lather which not only cleanses gently and effectively, but helps revive and nourish the skin with its Atlantic Kelp Extract and energizing Magnesium Plankton extract. I am enjoying all of these right now, if maybe a little too much, but I find with chronic pain and stress, I need products in my life for that uplift the spirits, as well as take care of my skin.
