Pixi Summer Sheers – Gorgeous Lip & Cheek Tints

I have to hand it to Pixi, these sheer tints are fabulous for summer! These hydrating lip and cheek products combine sheer formulas with pigment staying power. Being someone who prefers not to overload makeup on my face, I love these formulas for summer, as they provide colourful yet ethereal looks.

*NEW* Pixi Gel Tint & Silk Gloss £14 each

These gorgeous new double whammy lip products, offer a sheer tint/stain and a corresponding gloss in one handy product. There are 3 different colour variations to choose from, easy to use and wear, either for everyday with either tint or gloss, or vamp it up when needs must, by using both. These 2-in-1 wands allow total freedom of choice to play with different lip looks.

The tints add colour and leaves a stain as it wears off, and the glosses are silky with no gloop, adding a slightly different hue whilst bouncing the light. These are long wearing and non-drying, plus you can relax knowing the brand do not animal test, or use parabens.

Above : after swatching and removal, this was the amount of stain left on my skin, so no worries of lip colour disappearing into thin air!

My fave? Well at the moment, it has to be Pink Tint & Pretty Gloss, shown below

I find these formulas super soft, bouncy and nourishing on the lips, also providing a gentle minty tingle. When the initial application of the tints wear off, the lips are left stained with colour, whilst the glosses feel lovely with no stickiness. The possibilities are endless using these, and I have been swapping around colours and glosses, even with other lipsticks. They will be popular go-to’s in my makeup stash, and I am sure you will love these new lip products as much as I do.

Pixi Sheer Cheek Gels – £14 each

These are super light, sheer washes of colour for the cheeks, with bright gel formulas that provide a natural finish. In summer, a powder formula can look a little flat, whereas these add luminosity to the skin with a subtle, yet healthy flush of colour. Available in 3 shades, these provide a long lasting, glowing subtle stain.

These gels are moisturising and hydrating on the cheeks, yet free from oil, fragrance free and are hypoallergenic. If you like a full-on blush, they can be worn under a powder, to get that glowing look. These are easy to simply tap or sweep the gel with fingertips, blending on the apple of the cheek, and out towards the hairline. I would suggest starting off sparingly as you can always add more. I am not a fan of too much blush, so these subtle stains are perfect and look amazing with bronzer.

IngredientsWater, Propylene Glycol, Sodium PCA, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Polysorbate 80, Cetyl Acetate, Acetylated Lanolin Alcohol, PEG-20, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Sodium Dehydroacetate. May Contain: [+/- Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Mica, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Red 33 (CI 17200), Red 40 (CI 16035), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985), Blue 1 (CI 42090)].

The colours : can be worn as a subtle hint of colour, or add more to boost colour, depending on your desired look. Swatched from L – R in the image below.

Natural ~ a soft natural pink

Rosy ~ a vibrant rosy pink

Flushed ~ a deep cherry

Currently, my fave is Natural, but although Flushed looks scary, using a little produces a pretty look. It really does give the appearance of naturally flushed cheeks, think post-gym glow! Being gel formulas, these are water based, and blend seamlessly on the skin.

I find these work well with the Pixi highlighters from the Aspynovard collection.. you can find these in my post here.

I am impressed with these latest lip and cheek formulas, they are fabulous. Kind to skin and ideal for natural looking pretty, glowing summer makeup looks. Pixi products provide all skin types, colours, and ages, with wearable cruelty free makeup products, in order to create easy, fresh looks that are kind to skin.

Do these tickle your makeup fancy? Well, you can find them at Pixi along with Cult Beauty.

These look very pretty, the cheek gels appeal but sometimes I’ve found non cream or powder formulations a bit difficult to control.

These are so easy, you simply pat on and they dry, but still hydrating, and last for hours. No stickiness or moving with these, I love them and would recommend trying.

I’m loving the look of these products! I’m new to Pixi and so far loving the rose make up fixing mist. I’ve never used gel blush but “natural” looks so pretty. I’m glad to hear they blend well, I think I’ll need to try this!

Yes Pixi are a fab brand, I love their facial mists especially, and some of the other skin treats. Their makeup is getting better and better with so much variety. Hope you get to try the gels, they last without being dry or OTT in colour, simply natural.
