When it comes to drinking tea, I am first in the queue, especially when they are as flavoursome as Pukka teas. The brand have so many amazing blends, each for different moods and health needs. So here are the healthy blends I have been enjoying recently, including some of my constant faves.

Having chronic ill health, I like to use herbal teas everyday, aside from my morning cup of Tetley that is. I like this as a midday pick-me-up, when I feel tired but have a lot to do and am a little stressed. I also find this a bit of a hug-in-mug after walking the dog around the country lanes, especially on a an Autumnal damp day.

Feeling hormonal? The Womankind tea blend contains Cranberry, Rose, Orange and Vanilla, plus Shatavari root (Asparagus racemosa), to help soothe and restore balance. Fluctuating hormones can cause us to feel off kilter, so the tea blend and their supplements are aimed to help with equilibrium for body and mind. The Shatavari herb is nourishing, strengthening and balancing, yet has no side effects and safe to take with contraceptives and HRT. There are different blends, including one for pregnancy.

Having crazy hormones recently after going through the menopause, I was recommended to try the Wholistic Shatavari concentrated supplements. I thoroughly enjoy the tea, and took 1 of the the wholistic tablets each day. Just two capsules are equivalent to 25,600mg of Shatavari. With any supplements you really need 3 months to start feeling real benefit, although with these and the HRT for 1 month, I am beginning to feel a little more like usual self.
