When I spritz this through my damp hair and style, it gives me great volume on my fine hair. For post pregnancy, menopause, illness and stress, plus more mature gals, the hairline and parting can have less hair growth in these areas due to hormones. As RPR Give Me Body & Strength is a product designed to help problems like this, I am keen to keep trying this to help boost where my hair is thinning.
I have noticed how my hair shines when using RPR Give Me Body & Strength, and it certainly does what it says on the bottle. This is a fab size so will last for ages, making it really economical too.
RPR Rejuvenate My Hair – £14-50 for 200ml

I have found this so helpful for my shoulder length hair, as I use colour and heated styling tools regularly, so I like to treat my hair with a mask after re-colouring. I apply a ping pong ball size amount of this, work through mid lengths and ends, leaving on for a few minutes before rinsing, then dry/style as usual.
RPR Rejuvenate My hair Mask works well, providing me with soft, sleek hair and no tangles, plus any dry ends are transformed thanks to a total hydration boost. My skin still has a tiny amount of summer warmth, so I went for shade G30. I usually wear natural/ light to medium/ medium beige base shades and have a neutral/slight yellow undertone to my skin, so this is perfect. When it comes to my foundation preference, I usually plump for lighter viscosity and coverage, with serum or water based foundations. I tend to find a full coverage foundation feels heavy and looks caky on the skin, which I absolutely hate. Not with this one.
I was wowed by the coverage of the Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation. It has a fab pigment yet does not feel heavy on the skin, and seems fine on my thirsty skin that has a tendency to be dry. I find the finish seems slightly matte, yet provides a subtle glow without being shiny, and its overall finish provides a natural look to the skin. It can be used with a flat headed brush, fingers or beauty blender. I find using a blender to cover the skin, then pressing in with the warmth of my fingers, gives the best finish.
Although this is aimed at normal to dry skins, I feel it would also suit combination skins as it is oil free. For me, this is a ‘go-to’ when I want good coverage minus the dry cakey look or feel. Skin feels nice, looks great and it lasts, so I definitely recommend. It is the most natural finish medium to full coverage bases I have used!
Cream Concealer – £23 for 10ml
This concealer is highly pigmented with 27% pure colour, making it economical as a little goes a long way. With a light, creamy blendable formula, it works well under eyes and other imperfections you need to cover. Packed with antioxidants, yet free from gluten, mineral oil, fragrance, parabens and talc, this won’t make under eyes puffy or inflamed.
Ingredients : Water (Aqua, Eau), Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Diethylhexyl Carbonate, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Tribehenin, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Squalane, Triacontanyl PVP, Mica, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Tetrahexydecyl Ascorbate, Ethyl Linoleate, Ethyl Linolenate, Ethyl Oleate, Lauroyl Lysine, Bisabolol, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Magnesium Sulfate, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Xymenynic Acid, Phytosphingosine, Sorbitol/Sebacic Acid Copolymer Behenate, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Ceramide NG, PEG-10 Phytosterol, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Potassium Sorbate. May Contain/Peut Contenir: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288)
I place really tiny dots straight from the tube, on areas I want to cover, and blend in with damp sponge blender or a small concealer brush. Making sure it has blended well into the skin, I then apply a light dusting of featherweight loose powder to set. It does not dry cakey at all, and will not sit in fine lines as long as it is blended well upon application. This works well with the Cover FX Natural Finish foundation, plus some of my other foundations and provides a lovely smooth finish.
Perfect Light Highlighting Powder – £28 for 8gm
This sleek compact contains a soft-textured highlighting powder that blends well, available in 3 shades, this has super pigment with light reflecting particles. I have shade Candelight, fab for tanned and darker skin tones, although this is a little dark for me. So, I use a light dusting either all over the face or on areas I would usually apply bronzer.
Ingredients (Candelight) : Mica, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Boron Nitride, Zinc Stearate, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Stearoyl Glutamic Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder, Dehydroacetic Acid, Glycerin, Lycopodium Clavatum Extract, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopherol, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Phytosphingosine, Ethyl Linoleate, Ethyl Linolenate, Ethyl Oleate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)
It works well, giving me a wash of colour with glow. The shades that would work well as a highlighter for my colouring would be Sunlight or Moonlight. The micro-fine pearls in these highlighters help to blur imperfections and adds a lustrous finish to the skin on the face and body. Fab for adding warmth and shimmer to shoulders, legs and the décolletage not only for summer, but for the upcoming party season too!
My before & after shots are below, simply using a light covering of all 3 of the Cover FX products for a subtle day look.
Transformulas Arm Lift – £25.95 for 75ml
This British brand provides skincare aimed at helping women to gain younger looking, firmer skin without fillers or surgery. They are cruelty free, sell in 15 countries worldwide and getting good reviews from their growing following. Having seen some of their products on QVC, I was intrigued to try when I was sent this for review.
The product is designed to be used to help upper arms look more toned and feel smoother, best applied both morning and night for best results.
Armlift benefits :
- Firming & tightening skin effect
- Softens & hydrates
- Blurs imperfections
- Cooling fresh scented formulation
- Sculpts and defines upper arms
The texture is a gel-cream formulation and feels cooling upon application. Apply a pea size to each upper arm, working in circular motions upwards form the elbow over any ‘bingo wings’ and around. It feels like it gives a light stocking effect helping to slightly firm the skin, and once it dries, seems to give a filter to any imperfections.
I have not used this religiously day and night (sometimes you forget when you have illness and other probs), but find when I do use it, the skin on the upper arms look and feel slightly improved. It is a handy product to use when wearing arm revealing outfits for the party season, and in summer when arms are more exposed. However, I feel exfoliating and moisturising the skin, plus regular arm exercise works for me.
A product cannot produce tone like working a muscle can, it simply helps gives the skin an improved look and feel. To maximise results, it would need to be used regularly, so if you are after one product to improve your arms, this might just be what you are looking for.
Check out Arm Lift for more info and to buy.

A lovely regular hand treatment for the colder seasons, this is feels sumptuous on the skin as well as smelling divine! I like to use this mask once a week, applying a decent layer to the back of the hands, and massage into the skin and cuticles, and wear a pair of cotton gloves for 10 minutes. Lotta Skincare Night Owl Facial Oil – £15-95 for 45gm
I came across this range by chance, receiving the oil as part of a monthly box earlier this summer. I was going through an oil/mask storage drawer when I saw this and decided to try it. Oh boy..I’m so glad I did, it really is a fabulous night treatment blend. Lotta Skincare is a small handmade in Suffolk, by Charlotte, who sells them via her Etsy shop (there’s a link to find out more below).
Ingredients : Macadamia ternifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil, Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) Kernel Oil, Vitis vinifera (Grapeseed) Seed Oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Pelargonium roseum (Bourbon Geranium) Flower Oil, Lavandula hybrida grosso (Lavendin) Herb Oil, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Rosa damascena (Rose) Flower Extract, Geraniol*, Linalool*, Citronellol*, Limonene* *naturally occurring in essential oils.
This natural plant oil blend is a treat for all skin types. With a subtle scent, this almost dry oil works easily into the skin, producing a feeling of total hydration and softness. I find using 2-4 drops are plenty enough to work over the face and neck, post-nighttime double cleanse. I use this as a stand alone night treatment, finding it is hydrating enough without layering with another product.
This really does not disappoint as a night treatment. My dry and sometimes sensitive skin loves it, and being balancing, it would suit all skin types. I find the morning after using, skin is calmed, bright, hydrated and plump. A joy to use before bed, this oil with its subtle relaxing fragrance, has great synergy with the skin, leaving it smooth, hydrated and nourished. A definite skincare junkie find.
