I have used Bare Minerals for many years, dipping in and out of their quality natural formula products that are kind to skin. Their recent range of Ready 14.0 eye shadow palettes are gorgeous, with matte and shimmer shades that produce quality pigment, and are kind on the eyes. So, for any fellow bronze and neutral shade fans, I am happy to share with you, the amazing Bare Metals palette.
Bare Minerals are a natural and cruelty free brand, and all their formulations are easy to wear and kind to the skin. I used to love their single, loose powder shadows, as they had such amazing pigment. I found them great for the odd occasion, but not so easy for everyday use, as you can end up spilling pigment when in a hurry. The brand produce more Ready palettes now, of which I have a couple of their 8.0 palettes, and love them.
The newer Ready 14.0 shadow palettes have some fabulous colour collections, all with great payoff and silky smooth formulas. As soon as I spotted the Bare Metals palette, I had to buy it, as having green eyes with a mixture of blue/grey too, the coppers and golds compliment them.
Bare Minerals Ready® Eyeshadow 14.0 Palette – ‘Bare Metals’ – around £35
This palette is a slimline, shiny black compact, containing 14 pigment rich shades of matte and metallic eyeshadows. Every shade works well together, and the shadows are so easy to use to create day and night looks. The palette comes boxed and also contains a double-ended fibre brush, which is pretty decent as palette brushes go.
There are 14 shades of silky soft bronze inspired and shadows, including neutral shades too. Combining matte and shimmer shades that compliment each other, these are also long wearing for up to 12 hours. Easy to apply and blend, they can be layered up to create amazing bold metallic looks, or, worn simply using 1 or 2 neutral shades for softer looks. *

The formulas contain : Borage oil, Cucumber and Caffeine, to smooth lids and reduce puffiness. Plus the brands own SeaNutritive Mineral Complex, which helps to nourish the skin and soften the look of fine lines.
I find I never get any irritation on my sensitives eyes from Bare Mineral shadows, and I love experimenting with these shades. The formulas are lovely to use making application quick and easy, and not all glittery, but with soft metallic shimmers.
Below : close-ups of these gorgeous silky matte and shimmer shadows (apologies, as they don’t look as shimmery in the bad light I had to taking the photos)
Swatched L – R below, just as they come in the palette.. image 1 in dim light, image 2 brighter light.
Top row : Sugar Cookie – a light pale peach, Ball Gown – a nude shimmer, Wheat – a toasted tan, Granted – a maple sugar, Exquisite – a soft brown, Kismet – a mauve brown, Foreshadow – a brown truffle
Bottom row : Ecru – a vanilla ivory, Citrine – a honey gold shimmer, Cognac – a gilded bronze shimmer, Bragging Rights – a rose gold shimmer, Stellar – a bronze shimmer, Pumped – a cocoa sparkle, Boardroom – a deep chocolate.
I love this palette, and it has been a go-to for me over the last few weeks. The shadows really are smooth, blendable, and created well to work in harmony with each other. Plus the shades work well for any age, so whats not to love?! I am now keen to buy the other Bare Minerals 14.0 Ready palettes, as the other variations look just as lovely. I am sure this Bare Metals palette is only available through QVCUK, so it is worth checking out their website if you like the look of it.
If you are a Bare Minerals fan, I would love to know what your fave products are from the brand?
